What a pity! Been using Picasa for 11 years now. Never was there a (free) program that was so user friendly. The straightening tool, and resize tool were unmatched by even high-end fee paying software for ease of use. I even think its auto WB was pretty accurate - for a one-button correction! As for photo management - you could do it with your eyes closed! It just worked.
